Project Overview
Chimney Flashing & Wood Restoration
Water damage near this Anderson Township chimney required a thorough rebuild of the wood substrate and surrounding roof structure. Lord's Roofing Company removed deteriorated wood, grounded out brick mortar joints to install custom counter flashing, and re-mortared/sealed the masonry for absolute water-tightness.
Materials & Installation Specs
- Scope: Replaced rotted structural wood and decking around the chimney base
- Masonry: Ground out brick mortar joints and re-mortared for structural stability
- Flashing: Installed custom metal counter-flashing inserted directly into brick joints
- Sealing: Re-roofed the immediate surrounding area with leak-barrier and matching shingles
"We had a persistent leak around our chimney. Lord's Roofing Company found rotted wood, replaced it, ground out the mortar, and put in new flashing. They did an incredibly thorough job and the leak is completely gone!"
